See, sometimes I HATE online manga resources.

There’s this one manga I absolutely adore, right? It’s 8 volumes, all out in the USA, and I’ve read but don’t own them all - I need to save up to get them someday. It’s literally the only realistic fiction manga I like.

I cannot find in on any manga site anywhere. Anywhere. It’s not even listed, and even the ones taken down due to American release still have entries.

If anyone wants to help me find it, it’s called Gimmick! and it’s by Yozaburou Kanari.

It’s about a special effects/makeup artist named Kohei, and it’s REALLY REALLY REALLY GOOD.

I actually double-checked some things, and he uses real-life techniques and items and products and even name-drops real life special effects legends and it’s really accurate.

The last 2-3 volumes are a live-TV SFX competition, and it was just adfhndjfhfgfgfg. the bit where the contestants are sent into a giant grocery store and are told they can only use items they get in there for their makeup was probably the best thing in the series.

Anyone want to help me look for it online? Or just check it out anyway! It’s REALLY GOOD.
